With the trade deadline just two days away, local insiders expect the Minnesota Timberwolves to hold on to Julius Randle.

"This deal gives the Hawks a genuine co-star on offense for Trae Young, providing an interesting two-man game that could be beneficial for Randle and the Hawks. The Timberwolves land better-fitting role-players around Edwards who will hit shots and bolster the team's rotation, while also landing the Wolves another valuable draft asset."

Randle left the game Thursday against the Utah Jazz with a right groin strain. The Timberwolves have not revealed the severity of Randle's injury, but he will not play Saturday against a Wizards team that is 6-44 and has lost 16 consecutive games.
