Original stars of the show are set to return, and showrunner Scardapane has confirmed he wanted it to take on an even "darker" tone than the original - so any fears about the show being "Disney-fied" or losing its distinctively violent nature have been quelled. So far so good!
However, the sequel won't mirror the same tone, as the showrunner Dario Scardapane promises a new perspective. He explained that the Disney+ series focuses more on character actions than introspection, offering a faster pace. This allowed them to shift the focus to a more action-packed and cold narrative.
