BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A trial in a lawsuit seeking to strike down North Dakota’s ban on gender-affirming medical care for minors began Monday, more than a year after families of transgender children and a doctor filed the suit that argued the law violates the state’s constitution.

North Dakota is among more than two dozen states that have banned gender-affirming care for transgender minors.

In three of the four states, you can receive the death penalty for homicide. This seems a little extra from the anti-abortion movement, whose laws are already killing people, with or without threatening capital punishment.
