At two locations, Giant Eagle will take over operations of Rite Aid pharmacies that already exist. The takeover will happen immediately after the planned departure of the locations.

The first 30 will take effect by the end of next week. Giant Eagle will also take over the physical pharmacies at two of the Rite Aid locations, yet to be announced.

On Monday, Giant Eagle released the names of 15 additional Rite Aid locations that will have their prescriptions transferred to Giant Eagle pharmacies, with the changes taking effect this week.
