A teenage boy is dead after a shooting in St. Cloud early Sunday morning. The St. Cloud Police Department says it received reports of gunshots at an apartment building on the 200 block of 2nd Street Northeast at 2:55 a.m., and arrived to find 17-year-old Layson Davis, of St. Cloud, on a stairwell suffering from a gunshot wound.

The person in the stairwell, a 17-year-old boy from St. Cloud, was declared dead at the scene. The other person, a 19-year-old man from St. Joseph, was taken to St. Cloud Hospital

The 19-year-old is from St. Joseph. He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with critical injuries. The 17-year-old was identified as Layson Davis from St. Cloud. He was dead at the scene. Police have not released the name of the 19-year-old who remains in critical condition.
