Authorities are investigating after the body of a man was found in a ditch in Hastings Sunday morning. The man's death could be connected to a suspicious fire that happened in Denmark Township.

The man's identity has not yet been released; however, law enforcement believes the incident is connected to a report of a missing man and a suspicious fire investigation at a residence on St. Croix Trail in Denmark Township around 2 a.

According to the release, police officers responded to the scene on the 1300 block of Ravenna Trail (10th Street) just before 10 a.m., where they found the body.
