A record-breaking heat wave is heading for Oklahoma, and while it won't be as hot as the triple digits expected in Texas, it'll still be some of the hottest temperatures seen at this time in May. The National Weather Service in Norman said record-breaking temperatures are especially possible in central Oklahoma.

Dozens of cities are expected to meet or surpass record high temperatures for this time of year as part of a heat wave that will hit huge swaths of the country.
