KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police in Kansas City, Missouri, launched a homicide investigation following a shooting early Sunday night. Police were called around 7:30 p.m. Sunday on a reported shooting at 18th and Prospect. A police spokesperson was planning to respond to the scene near 18th and Benton.

Police are investigating a homicide after a shooting Sunday night near 18th Street and Prospect Avenue. Officers responded to the area shortly after 7:18 p.m. and found a male victim who had been shot. No suspect information was immediately available.

The body of a drowning victim was located and recovered Sunday afternoon by the Kansas City, Missouri, Fire Department.

For the first time since 1957, a streetcar rolled on tracks down Main Street south of Pershing Road, after crews moved the streetcar 400 feet along the extension during testing.
