Two-time Grammy Award–winning artist Justin Bieber attended Game 7 with his wife, Hailey Bieber. A lifelong Maple Leafs fan and Ontario native, Bieber was seated directly behind the Toronto bench. On Monday, he took to Instagram and reposted an old video of Matthews signing an autograph for a fan. Bieber added a two-word caption to his story:

The Toronto Maple Leafs lost, yet again, in a Game 7. They were taken down by the defending Stanley Cup champions, the Florida Panthers, who have advanced to face the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Final.

The Panthers were all over the Maple Leafs from the get-go, swarming the home side in the opening 20 minutes. The defending Stanley Cup champions outshot the Leafs 13-6 in the first period, with Aaron Ekblad scoring his second goal of the playoffs.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have, once again, been eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs. It marks the 58th consecutive year that the Maple Leafs have failed to win the Cup, and the 22nd straight season in which the team failed to reach the conference finals.
