The U.S. Justice Department on Wednesday opened an investigation into the operation of New York City hotels as migrant shelters, according to media reports. The Guardian newspaper and the New York Times,

New York City’s migrant shelter operation is under criminal investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice, which is looking into the management and funding of the hotels that helped house the influx of hundreds of thousands of foreign migrants since 2022,

Prosecutors asked for a list of names of “aliens” living at a Manhattan hotel. The city houses about 43,000 migrants in shelters, including dozens of converted hotels.

CJ Mosley is no longer with the New York Jets. The Jets have announced that the Mosley, 32, was released by the team: Mosley missed much of the 2024 season due to various injuries including a neck problem.
