Summit in December won approval of a North Dakota storage site for carbon carried by its planned pipeline. Now that decision is being appealed.

A group of North Dakota landowners is appealing the state’s approval of an underground carbon storage area for Summit Carbon Solutions, the company attempting to build the world’s largest carbon capture and storage project.

A group of more than a dozen North Dakota landowners filed a challenge to the state's recent approval of carbon dioxide storage permits tied to a multibillion dollar pipeline project.

A North Dakota legislative committee gave unanimous support Friday for a bill that would dedicate $15 million to replace Chinese-made drones used by state agencies. House Bill 1038 also would invest $11 million to advance North Dakota’s Vantis network,

The bill would be focused on pregnant women who would have a baby in prison, but it could extend to weekend stays, as well, the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation director said.

House Bill 1038 would create a $15 million program to replace all drones used by North Dakota agencies that do not comply with the National Defense Authorization Act and the American Security Drone Act.
