As wildfires continue to burn through parts of Los Angeles County, hotels in the San Diego area are offering a safe place to stay for those impacted.

With thousands of acres already burned around Southern California, dangerous plumes of smoke can lead to a harmful reduction in air quality. Some monitoring sites across LA County have already recorded "hazardous" air quality—the worst possible rating, according to AirNow.gov.
