Mercury's Satou Sabally (ankle) to miss WNBA All-Star Game, will still take part in CBA negotiations
Sabally, now a three-time All-Star, was slated to suit up for the team drafted by Caitlin Clark, one of the two captains for this year's game. Sabally's replacement will be chosen by WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert, who already selected Minnesota Lynx guard Kayla McBride to fill in for the injured Rhyne Howard.
Mercury Star Satou Sabally Dealing With Ankle Injury
Mercury head coach Nate Tibbetts recently said that Sabally is " day-to-day " with an ankle injury. Tibbetts also mentioned that Kahleah Copper will be out with a hamstring injury. Copper and Sabally reportedly did not practice on Sunday, and Sabally had a boot on her right leg.
The Phoenix Mercury are doing well on the defensive end, and some of their top players could reach the top 10 in steals per game.
