Hurricane Erin regained Category 4 strength Sunday night as its outer bands pounded the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico with gusty winds and heavy rains.

A Heat Advisory, from I-65 to the western Alabama border, begins at noon Monday and lasts through 8 p.m. Tuesday evening. Heat indices could climb as high as 105 degrees.

It’s a busy time in the tropics! Major Hurricane Erin and a new disturbance moving off of Africa will need to be watched.
