According to a report TMZ published on Tuesday, May 13, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation confirmed Santino Casio as the alleged inmate who shanked Lanez multiple times while they were in a housing unit at the California Correctional Institution (CCI) in Tehachapi.

The 32-year-old artist’s suspected attacker is named Santino Casio, a man serving a life sentence for a second-degree murder charge, first-degree attempted murder, personal use of a deadly weapon, and inflicting “great bodily injury,” TMZ reports.
