MANGONIA PARK, Fla. (CBS12) — Residents of Mangonia Park have been advised to boil their water before using it for drinking, cooking, or brushing their teeth.

Due to the water pressure dropping as a result of the malfunction, which was caused by a power outage, city residents were urged to either boil tap water or instead use bottled water.

Residents in the impacted area can resume using water normally, but MUD 151 issued a reminder that Fort Bend County is still in stage one of its drought contingency plan.

A spokesperson for the city said that water pressure across the City of Mission is now back at 100%. City officials say a boil water notice is not necessary and the water is safe to use and drink.
