Dave Shapiro, Sound Talent Group's co-founder and a heavy rock music agent, died in a San Diego plane crash on Thursday morning at age 42.

Sound Talent Group, the music agency Shapiro co-founded, confirmed his death in a statement to USA TODAY. Two other employees were also killed in the crash, according to USA TODAY.
