A boil water advisory that was in effect for several days in Suffolk was lifted Saturday afternoon. The advisory was in effect for residents of the Oakland area of the Chuckatuck Borough after a main water break Monday afternoon, according to a release.

The boil water advisory was issued as a precaution after a waterline break that caused pressure loss, officials said.

On Saturday, the city of Suffolk said people living in the Chuckatuck area can now safely drink their water for the first time since January 27.
