Speaking on WEEI Wednesday, Alex Cora doled out plenty of praise toward Red Sox second baseman Kristian Campbell.

In his first month with the Red Sox, the 22-year-old second baseman has hit .313 with a .935 OPS. Campbell has 4 home runs — including one last night in Toronto — 12 RBI and an on-base percentage of .420. Cora has been enjoying watching a player as green as Campbell make such an impact right out of the gate.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora attributes Bregman's early-season success to the training he did in the offseason. “He [Bregman] worked hard in the offseason,” Cora told Christopher Smith of MassLive. “He felt like last year he was off, especially early in the season, swinging more. Swinging at the edges of the strike zone.”
