Celtics GM Brad Stevens shuts down draft night rumors but hints that major league-wide moves could still be on the horizon.

Boston Celtics basketball chief Brad Stevens on Monday addressed the team's future, the prospect of landing Cooper Flagg, and the Knicks series loss.

Stevens said the Celtics expect Porziņģis to improve over the coming weeks and that he will play for Latvia in EuroBasket, the quadrennial international championship series sanctioned by FIBA Europe. The competition begins Aug. 27 when Latvia squares off against Turkey.

Simmons wondered whether the Celtics should ship Porzingis off to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for 27-year-old power forward John Collins, who is set to earn $26.6 million next season before becoming an unrestricted free agent. “John Collins was in one of my get-the-Celtics-under-the-second-apron trades,” Simmons said.
