FRANKLIN, Calif. — A man’s iPhone helped officers find the site of a deadly car crash near Elk Grove late Thursday night. According to the California Highway Patrol, its Sacramento Communications Center got a call of an iPhone crash notification near the intersection of Hood Franklin and Franklin roads around 11:15 p.m.
