There's no strike at submarine builder Electric Boat in Connecticut as the union for about 2,500 designers has tentatively agreed to a new contract.

The deal was made after a number of contract talks in recent weeks between Electric Boat and the UAW union, which represents the marine drafters.

The tentative deal with EB contains “unprecedented” wage increases of more than 30% over 5 years as well as increased retirement security.
