CLEVELAND, Ohio — Guardians right-hander Ben Lively is heading to the 15-day injured list with a right flexor tendon strain, the club announced Tuesday.

The Cleveland Guardians placed right-handed starter Ben Lively on the 15-day injured list on Tuesday because of a right flexor tendon strain. In a corresponding move, rookie right-handed reliever Zak Kent was recalled from Triple-A Columbus.

Right-hander Ben Lively was placed on the 15-day injured list by the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday due to a strained right flexor tendon. Lively exited Monday night’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers after three innings.
