Right-handed pitcher Kevin Mannell of Mississippi State announced on Sunday that he is coming to Lincoln. Mannell holds one year of eligibility left after spending last season with the Bulldogs.
Last season, Mannell went 2-0 with a 4.30 ERA across 11 relief appearances. That followed a 2024 season at Cloud County where he had a 1.91 ERA and struck out 92 hitters in 75.1 innings.
Mannell made 11 appearances this spring. In 14.2 innings, he had a 4.30 ERA while giving up 14 hits and walking five. He also had 19 strikeouts.

Nebraska was a finalist for Mannell before he chose MSU in the fall of 2023. With the Bulldogs this spring he threw 14 2/3 innings with five walks, 19 strikeouts and a 4.30 earned-run average.
