An ethics complaint has been leveled against NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani over his rent-stabilized apartment while earning $150,000 as state assemblymember.

The state ethics watchdog agency received a complaint urging a probe into how Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani obtained his $2,300 rent-stabilized apartment and whether the Queens assemblyman complied with gift rules for elected officials.

Mayoral candidate Andrew M. Cuomo is criticizing front-runner Zohran Mamdani for living in a one-bedroom rent-stabilized apartment for $2,300 a month, calling on him "to move out immediately and give your affordable housing back to an unhoused family.

As of the early hours of Wednesday morning, Mamdani had an 82 percent chance of winning the race, according to Polymarket.
