A jury found Mickiael Ward guilty of first degree murder in the 2013 death of Hadiya Pendleton Thursday. The jury began deliberations at approximately 1:15 p.m. and lasted for over three hours.

Early on, Ward could be seen denying shooting into the park as a detective accused him of lying. At one point, Det. John Murray reminded Ward that the first lady had attended Pendleton's funeral.

Ward was questioned on and off for 23 hours after he was taken into custody in connection with Hadiya's shooting in 2013. It's unclear how much of that interrogation prosecutors plan to show the jury.
