Powerball costs $2 per play with an option of selecting a Power Play for an extra $1. In two states, Idaho and Montana, the Power Play is not optional, with each game costing $3.

The Powerball winning numbers are in for the Wednesday, Aug. 20 drawing with a jackpot that reached an estimated $643 million ($290.6 million cash value). The largest winning Powerball jackpot ticket sold in Michigan was worth $842.4 million and sold in January 2024 at Food Castle in Grand Blanc.
