PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (WSVN) — Florida Fish and Wildlife officials finally captured a black bear seen wandering in central Florida with the help of some donuts.

A black bear has been wandering through Punta Gorda for days, now resting in a tree as FWC officials set traps to safely relocate the animal back to its natural habitat.

The bear also has been spotted in east Punta Gorda and around Burnt Store Isles, according to the Punta Gorda Police Department. Generally, sightings have come in the overnight or early-morning hours.
