A woman was shot and killed by Los Angeles County Department Sheriff’s deputies in Rosemead and an investigation of the shooting was underway Thursday. Deputies from the sheriff’s Temple station were called about 6:10 p.

A female arson suspect was fatally shot by deputies in Rosemead during a standoff while serving a search warrant. No deputies were injured. The investigation is ongoing, with appeals for witness information.

A woman suspected of trying to set a neighbor’s home on fire was carrying a large knife when at least one deputy fatally shot her while deputies served a search warrant at her Rosemead home early Thursday morning, Feb. 27, an investigator said.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said deputies were serving a search warrant for a barricaded arson suspect when the shooting occurred.

The female suspect wanted for an arson situation was struck by police gunfire. She was taken to an area hospital where she was declared dead by medical personnel.
