MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Several funnel clouds, brief tornado touchdowns and hail were reported across parts of southern Minnesota Monday evening.

A tornado warning was issued for about half an hour in the Mankato area and Nicollet County. Several areas reported ping-pong sized hail including one mile north of Mankato and St. Peter.

Parts of southern Minnesota started Wednesday off with strong storms ahead of hot and humid conditions, as well as a threat for severe weather later in the day.
