Uber has partnered with a number of firms for robotaxi services, but this latest alliance is getting more attention than most.
Uber just announced a deal today with the company that runs one of the largest robotaxi fleets in China, as the ridehail giant nears its goal of becoming the world’s ultimate autonomous vehicle clearinghouse.
“Our renewed partnership with the GSA will help government agencies simplify their travel and transportation needs,” said Uber President and Chief Operating Officer Andrew Macdonald. “We’re paving the way for a future where integrated mobility, meal delivery, and fleet management can help transform the full range of government services.”
