Borderlands 3 was 2K's fastest-selling title ever and other than NBA2K and Rockstar's games, Borderlands is Take-Two's top selling franchise. Take-Two literally just purchased Gearbox so they could have full ownership of the Borderlands IP and in that same announcement Gearbox said they are working on the next Borderlands game.

I am hoping Borderlands 4 does more to change up the core gameplay loop and quest structure of the series. I love the franchise but after 5 games of basically the same gameplay with quality if life changes, I think I need something more from the next entry.
