When single animals wander into Minnesota/Wisconsin, where there are also no breeding populations, there are dozens of sightings, pictures, etc to corroborate with 2 to 3 times less population density.

Nov 9, 2024 · Perhaps the "tree hugging bunny lover" types learned a lesson from the last time they banned mountain lion hunting. If I recall, it was a good 12 to 15 years ago that mountain lion hunting was banned. However, it only took about 3 years for the lion population to increase to proportions that made them reverse their decision.
