Yesterday the Coos Bay bar (Mingus bar) was restricted to 44 foot. We went to the edge of buoy number 5 A to see how bad it was and felt that perhaps they had it restricted due to the weather degrading because it really wasn't that bad at the time. Some time later we watched a 22 foot recreational boat loaded with crab gear head out across the bar with no problems and thought "oh good, they lifted the restrictions".
