🏈On October 8, 1972 the Miami Dolphins improve to 4-0 with a 27-17 win over the New York Jets at Shea Stadium. Dolphins running back Larry Csonka rushed 18 times for 105 yards while teammate Jim Kiick rushed 16 times for 53 yards and 2 touchdowns. Miami quarterback Bob Griese threw for 220 yards and a touchdown. Miami fumbled a punt deep in its own territory in the 4th quarter and allowed New York cut the lead to 24–17, but a late field goal by Garo Yepremian put the game out of reach.🏈 | Dave
