Beijing is close to completing construction of a new airport, south of the city's center. The roof and glass at the main terminal building are being installed, which was announced on Monday. The airport is expected to begin trial operations in October 2019. By 2025 it's expected to handle 72 million passenger trips as well as 620,000 departures and arrivals annually.
