Turmeric, a 36.2 pound loggerhead sea turtle was released back into the Gulf this morning along with a smaller green sea turtle. Turmeric was hooked by a recreational fisherman at Gulf State Park Pier on August 3rd. The GSP team acted quickly to secure the turtle and it was transported to the Gulfarium C.A.R.E.
