Endangered turtles lay eggs on Indian seashore

This Indian black turtle was brought to our centre after being found stranded on a road in Anekal lying in an upside-down position, with a thread hanging outside their mouth. They underwent stabilization, sedation, and radiographs to assess the condition. Test results revealed that a metal fish hook had been deeply lodged in the oesophagus (throat) protected by the shell.
