On This Day 1970 🎬📽️🎞️ 'Scrooge" ~ UK premiere. I don't know about you, but my Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without this engaging musical about a parsimonious miser with a heart of stone. Probably my favourite adaption of this Charles Dickens novel. I love seeing Albert Finney in the role of Scrooge and the great man Alec Guinness as Marley’s Ghost. and I make a point of catching this every year. Scrooge really leaned into the theatrics of the musical numbers in this, which really made the
