The giant cockle sea shell commonly found along Southwest Florida beaches but normally not alive like this one. The shell can reach up to 4-5 inches across. They will sometimes get left on the beach after a low tide, and will usually dig themseleves into the wet sand to get access to water before the tide comes back in, but this guy wanted a conversation apparently 😅 .
