The 1970s were an eventful decade for the Michigan Marching Band. In 1970, after 36 years of service, Dr. Revelli announced he would retire in the summer of 1971. The same year, the Michigan Band welcomed someone else. He is the voice of the Michigan Band: Carl Grapentine.
